titleOfInvention Mirror assembly for infant activity center
abstract A mirror assembly mountable on an arch (12) of an infant activity center in which the arch (12) extends between and bridges diagonally-opposed corners (C3 and C4) of a square floor mat (10), the assembly making it possible for a baby on the mat (10) to see its own image as it engages in an activity appropriate to its age. The mat (10) is flexible and the arch (12) is bendable whereby the center can be collapsed to create a pack in which the mat is folded and the bent arch (12) overlies a fold thereof. The mirror assembly includes a disc (21) on whose front face is a mirror (22), the rear face being hinged to one side of a triangular easel web (23) whose other side is hinged to a sleeve (20) fitted on the arch (12), whereby in an active mode of the assembly, the easel web (23) is then perpendicular to the disc (21) which outstretches the mirror (22), whereas in a collapsed mode, the web (23) is folded against the rear face of the disc (21) which is now sandwiched between the fold and the arch (12) overlying the fold.
