abstract | A flame-retardant polyethylene terephthalate-seriesnresin composition comprises, relative to 100 partsnby weight of (A) a polyethylene terephthalate-series resin,n(B) 5 to 60 parts by weight of a bromine-containing flamenretardant in which 5% by weight reduction from the initialnweight thereof is given at a temperature of not less thann360°C under heating the flame retardant at a heating ratenof 10°C/min. in a nitrogen stream; (C) 0.01 to 20 parts bynweight of a crystallization accelerator; (D) 0.01 to 20nparts by weight of a colorant; and (E) 0.01 to 5 parts bynweight of an antioxidant. The resin composition isnexcellent in resistance to heat/humidity, and has a colorndifference represented by a ΔE value of not more than 15nunder heating the composition at 210°C for 24 hours. Thenresin composition may comprise an antimony-containingnflame-retardant synergist and/or an inorganic filler. n The resin composition ensures effectiveninhibition of discoloration, and strikes a balance betweennmechanical properties and heat fading resistance. |
