abstract | A negative-working CTP plate which is superior in resolution and printingnresistance of the image area of a press plate is provided, which is obtained by forming anlatent image on a heat-sensitive layer in a heat-sensitive lithographic printing platencomprising a substrate having a hydrophilic surface and a heat-sensitive layer made of annalkali-soluble polymer formed on the surface of the substrate, using heat generated uponnirradiation with laser light, and developing the heat-sensitive layer using an alkalinendeveloping solution. In the heat-sensitive lithographic printing plate comprising ansubstrate having a hydrophilic surface, and a heat-sensitive layer made of an alkali-solublenpolymer formed on the surface of the substrate, an advancing contact angle ( f1 )nof the surface of the heat-sensitive layer with water at 25°C is within a range from 70° ton110°, a receding contact angle ( b2 ) of the surface of the heat-sensitive layer with water atn25°C after heating at 150°C for 3 minutes is larger than a receding contact angle ( b1 ) ofnthe surface of the heat-sensitive layer with water at 25°C before heating, and a differencenin receding contact angle before and after heating, ( b2 - b1 ), is larger than 1° and isnsmaller than 40°. |
