titleOfInvention | Chemical gas sensor and method of making same |
abstract | The invention relates to a chemical sensor for metal oxide gas comprising: a frame defining a central window, a dielectric layer deposited on this frame and whose part facing its window forms a membrane (16), a conductive layer (18) , forming a heating body, disposed on the membrane, an electrically insulating layer (26) covering the heating body, a metal oxide sensitive element (42) deposited at the center of said insulating layer, and two electrodes (38) arranged at the contact of the sensitive element to allow to measure its electrical resistance. The sensing element (42) comprises a layer of tungsten oxide (WO3) in the form of an agglomerated powder with a porous structure of sub-micron sized particles. <IMAGE> |
