The fragment maynbe one which lacks haem as a co-factor, does not require S-adenosylnmethionine for activation while being active in humannplasma. Such fragments include amino acids 40-413 of SEQ IDnNO:2 and a novel fragment thereof being amino acids 73-414 ofnSEQ ID NO:2.
