Use of a phospholipase a2 for the preparation of pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic compositions for the local and/or systematic treatment and/or prevention of diseases and/or processes caused by intra- and extracellular pathogens expressing membrane phospholipids |
abstract |
This patent relates to the use of phospholipases, e.g.: sPLA 2 , as thenactive agent in the preparation of pharmaceutical and/or cosmeticncompositions for the treatment of pathogenias mediated by micro-organisms,nhaving a cover or membrane comprising phospholipids, nparticularly glycerophospholipids. In particular, it relates to the use of sPLA 2 nfrom the venom of Crotalus durissus terrificus as a biocide component fornthe preparation of compositions for the treatment of viral infections, innparticular the conditions of bacterial and parasitic acquirednimmunodeficiency HIV-1 and HIV-2 infections, such as parasitic conditionsnmediated by parasites from the plasmodium and leishmania species. |
