abstract |
Recombinant polynucleotides and methods for modifying the phenotype of a plant are provided. In preferred embodiments, the phenotype modified is a plant's biomass. Modifying plant biomass leads to improved yields for leafy crops, for example. The method comprises altering the levels of a transcription factor that is introduced into the plant or that is endogenous to the plant to obtain a plant with a larger biomass. |
