abstract |
This invention relates to a blood component collection system with data manipulation and optimization capabilities. In one embodiment of the invention, operating parameters are calculated from a predefined production rate of blood components entered / configured on the basis of the maximization of at least one operating parameter. Next, the blood components are separated and sampled using said operating control parameters. In another embodiment, the operating parameters of a total duration of the procedure entered are calculated from a maximized value for at least one of the other operating control parameters so as to maximize the production rate of blood components within this preset time. The separation and collection of blood components is then carried out using these parameters. |
