abstract | A single-side coated silver halide photographic film materialnhas been disclosed, said film material comprising a support, atnleast one light-sensitive emulsion layer and a substantially light-insensitivenprotective hydrophilic colloid layer farther away fromnsaid support than said emulsion layer, wherein said emulsion layerncontains a silver halide emulsion rich in silver bromide with cubicncrystals having an average numerical diameter in the range from 0.4nup to 0.8 µm, wherein at least 95 mole % of bromide ions arenpresent, and wherein said hydrophilic colloid layer or anothernsubstantially light-insensitive hydrophilic colloid layernessentially comprises a hydrazide represented by the general formulan(I) having a silver halide adsorbing group or a masked silver halidenadsorbing group; besides a method for forming a diagnostic imagencomprising the steps of contacting said photographic film materialnwith an intensifying screen, forming a film/screen assembly, andnexposing said assembly to X-ray radiation with an energy lower thannor equal to 70 kVp, and processing said film material during a timenof 90 seconds or less in a processing cycle following the steps ofndeveloping, fixing, rinsing and drying, and wherein the developingnproceeds in a radiographic developer composition essentiallyncomprising a hydroquinone and a phenidone (a 1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidine-1-onencompound) as a developing agent and anheteroatomic nitro-indazol. |
