abstract | The invention relates to a presence or motion detector (1) with a control device (2) for controlling a load switching element (3), to which a lighting device (4) can be connected, a twilight switch (5) being present, which has the effect that the load switching element (3) is only activated when the ambient brightness detected by means of a daylight sensor (6) falls below a light threshold value E s . In order to automatically determine a suitable light threshold value E s and to automatically adapt it to changing ambient light conditions, a light threshold value formation device (7) is provided, which is set up to generate a minimum value from a series of ambient light values E recorded over a defined period of time T. to determine the ambient brightness E smin and to add a hysteresis value E Hys to form the light threshold value E s . The invention also relates to a corresponding twilight switch and to methods for forming the light threshold value E s . |
