abstract Printer (500) for printing color toner images on a receiving element (512) with a variety of different textures. The printer (500) includes a number of tandem electrophotographic imaging modules, each comprising a plurality of imaging subsystems to form a colored toner image transferred to a receiving element (512), wherein by transferring the toner images from each of the modules, color printing on the receiving element (512) arises, which is fixed to form a desired color print. The image quality of color printing arises from non-operational co-optimization of fixing parameters and parameters of the imaging subsystem for printing on different textures of the receiving element (512).
