Compounds for use in cancer screening methods are provided, wherein a chemicalncompound is introduced into a patient, the compound being a complex of a fluorescentnmarker and a radioactive marker. Cells are then collected preferably through non-invasivenor minimally invasive means. If fluorescence is observed in the exfoliated cells, ntomographic scanning is conducted to further locate and/or confirm suspected malignantnareas or metastatic areas. Further observation or treatment may be conducted eithernthrough fluorescence guided endoscopy, photo-dynamic therapy, and/or radiationntreatment. |
