ThenDNA is a rice OsEF1β1 gene promoter which has a sequencenindicated by SEQ ID NO. 1, or a portion of said sequencenwhose promoter activity is equivalent to that of said sequencenindicated by SEQ ID No. 1. An expression vector containingnthe promoter and an exogenous gene expressibly linked tonthe promoter is also provided. A plant cell transformedwithnthe expression vector, a plant regenerated from the plantncell, a progeny of the plant, a propagator of the plant,nand a seed obtained from the progeny are also provided. Anmethod for introducing an exogenous gene into plants usingnan expression vector is also provided.
