Then invention provides a method for amplifying RNA from ansample, preferably for obtaining an expression profile of cellular RNA,ncomprising the step of amplifying (cellular) RNA by contacting said RNA with anna first amplification primer, an RNA-dependent polymerase and nucleotides tonsynthesize a copy nucleic acid from said RNA, wherein said first amplificationnprimer comprises a 3'-fragment capable of hybridizing with a poly-A tail ofnmRNA and said RNA-dependent polymerase is capable of providing an extensionnto said first strand copy nucleic acid allowing hybridisation with a secondnamplification primer.
