abstract An aqueous dispersion that comprises: (A) anpolyolefin terpolymer resin obtained from (a) annunsaturated carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof, (b) annethylenic hycrocarbon, and (c) a specific compound, thenproportion of (a) being 0.01 to 5 wt%, excluding 5 wt%, andnthe ratio of (b) to (c) being from 55/45 to 99/1 (wt%); (B)na basic compound; and (C) an aqueous medium, that thenpolyolefin terpolymer resin (A) dispersed in the aqueousnmedium has a number-average particle diameter of 1µm ornsmaller, and that the dispersion contains substantially nonnonvolatile water-compatibilizing agent. Also providednare a coated film obtained by applying this aqueousndispersion to a thermoplastic resin and a coated metalnmaterial obtained by applying this aqueous dispersion tona metal material.
