An insertion device (30) for an intraocular lens (20) includes a lens-holdingnsection having a cavity for accommodating an intraocular lens (20),na deforming section for deforming the lens (20) to a reduced size, anninsertion tube (32) through which the deformed lens (20) is inserted into anneye, a pusher mechanism (34) for pushing and inserting the lens (20) intonthe eye, and a lens-moving mechanism (13) for moving the lens (20) from anstandby position to an insertion position at which the pusher mechanismn(34) can push and insert the lens (20) into the eye. A lubricant is injectedninto the interior of the insertion tube (32) and/or the cavity of the lens-holdingnsection for smooth insertion of the lens (20). The insertion devicen(30) has an indicating mark (40) for indicating a quantity of injectednlubricant. Further, the insertion device (130) includes an erroneousnoperation prevention member (140) for preventing accidental operation ofnthe lens-moving mechanism (113). |
