An aneurysm filling system includes a guidencatheter 30, a delivery tubing 31 containing a pluralitynof embolizing units 15, 15a of an embolizing material, nand a pushrod 35 within said delivery tube. The pushrodnpushes the embolizing units out of the delivery tubingnonce the delivery tube has been guided through the guidencatheter to a delivery position. The system is used forntreating an aneurysm by deploying an endoluminalnprosthesis and an embolizing material adjacent thenaneurysm. The embolizing material is expanded to fill anportion of the aneurysm. The endoluminal prosthesisnretains the expanded embolizing material within thenaneurysm. A vascular implant system for treating annaneurysm includes an endoluminal prosthesis, a guidencatheter including a delivery tubing slidably carriedntherein, and an embolizing material positioned withinnthe deliver tubing. The embolizing material expands andnfills a portion of the aneurysm when deployed from thendelivery tubing. The prosthesis retains the expandednembolizing material within the aneurysm. |
