The invention relates to a method of selectivelynproducing adamantanes in a production apparatus made of anninexpensive material, not having any negative influence on thennatural environment. The method for producing adamantanesnincludes isomerizing a tricyclic saturated hydrocarbon havingnat least 10 carbon atoms in the presence of a metal-carryingnsolid acid catalyst, wherein an unsaturated bond-havingncompound is made to coexist along with the catalyst during thenisomerization. |
