Tertiary perfluorocycloamines (TPFCAs)of general formulan(1)n nwhere n = 1 or 2, m = 2 or 3, nX isn norn nwherein at n = 2 nX isn nas the basis for gas transport emulsions. n TPFCAs comprise a group of compounds which are close inntheir physicochemical properties to perfluoro-N-(4-methylcyclohexyl)-piperidine,nparticularly in the critical temperaturenof dissolution in hexane, and which are used in anmixture, forming a number of compounds with gradually varyingncharacteristics. Owing to this, a greater homogeneity ofnthe fluorocarbon phase is achievable in the emulsions and itnbecomes possible to enhance the stability of the emulsionnparticles stabilized by an ethylene oxide-propylene oxidenblock copolymer, with the absence of toxicity for large animals.nA mixture of TPFCAs is prepared by electrochemical nfluorination of n-piperidinoheptafluorotoluene in anhydrousnhydrogen fluoride. The use of this mixture of TPFCAs insteadnof individual perfluoro-N-(4-methylcyclohexyl) piperidinensimplifies, speeds up the process for preparing perfluorinatednorganic compounds, makes it cheaper, and provides conditionsnfor broader application of gas transport emulsionsnbased thereon. |
