A multilayer film which comprises a first layerncomprising a polyethylene-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylatenand a second layer comprising a thermoplastic resin havingna lower refractive index than thenpolyethylene-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate constitutingnthe first layer, wherein:n the first and second layers each having a thickness of 0.05nµm to 0.3 µm are laminated alternately so as to form a laminatencomprising at least 11 layers, at least either the first layers or the second layers differnin thickness, a value obtained by dividing the thickness of a layer withna maximum thickness by the thickness of a layer with a minimumnthickness is not smaller than 1.2, and at least either the laminated first layers or the secondnlayers are stretched at least in one direction. n The multilayer film reflects light of given wavelengthnrange selectively and widely. Hence, the film can preventnmalfunctions in peripheral devices caused by broadband nearninfrared light radiated from a display surface of a plasmandisplay, is inexpensive, has a high light transmittance, andnis used for a front panel. |
