Provided in the present invention is an alkalinenprotease wherein an amino acid residue at (a) position 65,n(b) position 101, (c) position 163, (d) position 170, (e)nposition 171, (f) position 273, (g) position 320, (h)nposition 359 or (i) position 387 of SEQ. ID NO:1 or at anposition corresponding thereto has been selected from thenfollowing amino acid residues: position (a): proline, nposition (b): asparagine, position (c): histidine, asparticnacid, phenylalanine, lysine, asparagine, serine, isoleucine, nleucine, glutamine, threonine and valine, position (d):nvaline and leucine, position (e): alanine, glutamic acid, nglycine and threonine, position (f): isoleucine, glycinenand threonine, position (g): phenylalanine, valine, nthreonine, leucine, isoleucine and glycine, position (h):nserine, leucine, valine, isoleucine and glutamine, positionn(i): alanine, lysine, glutamine, glutamic acid, argininenand histidine. n The present invention makes it possible tonefficiently produce and provide alkaline proteases havingnactivity even in the presence of a highly concentratednfatty acid, and exhibiting excellent detergency for thenremoval of a complex stain containing protein, sebum andnthe like, and therefore being useful as an enzyme to benincorporated in a detergent. |
