The security element comprises atnleast a substrate and a fluorescent colorant layer provided on thensubstrate, wherein the fluorescent colorant layer comprises N species ofnfluorescent colorants F n , wherein N is an integer of 2 or more and n is anninteger of not less than one and not more than N, in the same layer, andnthe fluorescent colorant F n absorbs light with a wavelength of λ n andnemits fluorescence with a wavelength of λ n+1 .
