abstract The invention relates to an electrode system (1) for electric point stimulation therapy. Said system comprises at least one stimulation electrode (4) with a disc-shaped base (5) and an annular plate (9) that is placed on the surface (2) of the skin before piercing the latter with the electrode needle (7), said plate being glued to the surface (2) of the skin and being connected to the base (5) by adhesion and a manipulation tool (21) designed for the use of an electrode system of this type. The manipulation tool (21) has an electrically conductive, axially displaceable pin (25), which is connected to a resistance measuring device (40) and is configured for the attachment and application of the annular plate (9). Preferably, the electrode can also be fitted to the tool (21).
