abstract |
The present invention is directed to an electrolyte for annelectrolytic capacitor. The capacitor has an electrolytic anodenand an electrochemical cathode. The electrolyte has water, anwater soluble organic salt, and a relatively weak organic acid.nThis electrolyte is chemically compatible to aluminum andntantalum oxide dielectrics and withstands higher voltage whilenmaintaining good conductivity. This makes the electrolytenespecially useful for high voltage applications, such as occur innan implantable cardiac defibrillator. |
