abstract | The present invention relates to the use of complexes of hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrinnwith 6-[1-piperidinyl]pyrimidine-2,4-diamine-3-oxide, [±]-N-cyano-N-4-pyridinyl-N-[1,2,2-trimethylpropyl]-guanidine,nand N-[5-sulfamoyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]acetamidenin the treatment of disordersncharacterized by muscular weakness and muscular fatigue. These substancesnin noncomplexed form exhibit, in chronic therapies, undesirable effects suchnas hypotension and tachycardia, which limit their use in muscular disorders.nThe complexes according to the invention, particularly the ones with 6-[1-piperidinyl]pyrimidine-2,4-diamine-3-oxide,nare an important improvementnfrom the pharmacological standpoint with respect to noncomplexednsubstances in terms of doses at which they increase maximum effortnduration, reduce recovery times after muscular effort, restore blood K + nvalues after physical exercise, improving muscular performance, and exhibitnno significant hypotensive effects or significant increases in heart rate. |
