abstract |
The present invention is directed to the use of a poly-hydroxy-aryl-poly-acid with 3-6 ortho-hydroxy-acid moieties as an additive for a nucleic acid amplification reaction. Surprisingly, such an addition results in prevention of nonspecific primer dimer formation and thus in a more specific and sensitive PCR. |
