The present invention relates to an amide derivative ofnthe formula (1), having a C5a receptor antagonistic actionn nwherein each symbol is as defined in the specification. n The above-mentioned amide derivative, an optically activenform thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof arenpromising as an agent for the treatment or prophylaxis ofndiseases or syndromes caused by inflammation caused by C5an[e.g., autoimmune diseases such as rheumatism, systemic lupusnerythematosus and the like, sepsis, adult respiratory distressnsyndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, allergicndiseases such as asthma and the like, atherosclerosis, cardiacninfarction, brain infarction, psoriasis, Alzheimer's diseasenand serious organ injury (e.g., pneumonia, nephritis, hepatitisnand pancreatitis and the like) due to activation of leukocytesncaused by ischemia reperfusion, trauma, burn, surgical invasionnand the like]. Moreover, they are useful as a therapeutic ornprophylactic agent for the infectious diseases caused bynbacteria and virus that invade via a C5a receptor. |
