Medicated wrap |
abstract |
A device for treating pain in an injured body member a wrap (10) having an interior section (22) which can be loaded with medicament. The wrap (10) also includes at least one inwardly extending nodule (24) adapted to extert pressure on and compress a specific area of the injured member, having acupressure like effect in producing pain relief. The wrap (10) has adjustable means (20, 30) for fastening the wrap (10) around the body member, thereby enabling the wearer to extend a specific amount of pressure on the nodule to achieve the desired results. The combination of restricted movement imparted by the wrap (10) along with the medicament and acupressure affords the wearer more rapid relief than any of the treatments applied separately. |
