abstract A heat developable image recording material including a photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent for silver ions, a binder and non- photosensitive organic acid silver salt particles on one side of the surface of a substrate. A content of silver behenate in the non-photosensitive organic acid silver salt particles is 90 mol% to 100 mol%, and at least one kind of mercapto compound is contained in a surface of the substrate at the same side as a layer having the photosensitive silver halide. The heat developable image recording material includes a compound represented by following the general formula (1), wherein, R<21>, R<22> and R<23> each independently represent a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group. When R21,R<22> or R<23> have a substituent, the substituent is a halogen atom etc. The non-photosensitive organic particles are prepared from organic acids including at least behenic acid and erucic acid, and a content of the erucic acid is 0.000001 mol% to 0.4 mol%. <CHEM>
