titleOfInvention | Processes for preparation of fused pyrroles |
abstract | The invention provides processes for the preparation of fused pyrroles, npreferably indoles, which permit the use of inexpensive aromatic amines themselves asnthe raw material and attain high atomic efficiency and high regioselectivity.nSpecifically, a process for the preparation of fused pyrroles, e.g., indoles bearing methylnat the 3-position of pyrrole ring and R 1 (or R 2 ) of the general formula (4) at then2-position thereof, or 3,3-disubstituted indoles bearing R 1 and R 2 at the 3-position ofnpyrrole ring and methyl at the 2-position thereof, characterized by reacting an alkynol ofnthe general formula (4) with an aromatic primary amine in the presence of a rutheniumncomplex, more preferably with an acid or an ammonium salt thereof being made toncoexist. .n n[In the general formula (4), R 1 and R 2 are each independently hydrogen, optionallynsubstituted alkyl, or optionally substituted aryl, or alternatively R 1 and R 2 may be unitednto form an alkylene chain.] |
