abstract The invention relates to branched copolymers based on unsaturated nitriles and on conjugated dienes. The branched copolymers are characterized in that: the content of bound unsaturated nitrile ranges from 15 to 50 wt. %; the Mooney viscosity ranges from 15 to 150 M.E. [ML 1 + 4/100 DEG C]; the chain branching ranges from 0 to 20 DEG (determined by the DELTA delta B value), and; the solubility, measured in methyl ethyl ketone, is >/= 85 wt. % at 20 DEG C. The inventive copolymers can be used for producing hydrogenated copolymers based on unsaturated nitriles and on conjugated dienes (HNBR), for producing shaped bodies of all types, which are produced in injection molding or extrusion methods, and for improving the flowability of elastomers.
