A holding apparatus 1, whichnis characterized in that it comprises eyelid opener portions 10a and 10b fornpulling and opening upper and lower eyelids, a lens ring 30 for holding ansurgical contact lens on the eyeball, and connecting portions 40a and 40b fornconnecting the eyelid opener portions 10a and 10b with the lens ring 30 ofnthe surgical contact lens so that the surgical contact lens is held on theneyeball, is set on the eyeball of the patient, which makes it unnecessary tonstitch of the lens ring 30 on the eyeball.
