titleOfInvention PRODUCTION OF POLYESTER RESIN AND MOLDED OBJECTS MADE FROM SUCH A MOTHER MIXTURE
abstract A process for producing a polyester resin having a melt flow rate of 50 g/10 min or lower and a swell of 10 to 200%, which comprises: mixing (1) 100 parts by weight of a linear saturated polyester with (2) 1 to 10 parts by weight of a masterbatch obtained by compounding 100 parts by weight of a base with 10 to 50 parts by weight of a mixture consisting of 0 to 100 wt.% compound having two epoxy groups per molecule and 100 to 0 wt.% compound in which the number of epoxy groups is 2.1 or larger on the average and (3) 0.25 to 10 parts by weight of a masterbatch obtained by compounding 100 parts by weight of a base with 5 to 25 parts by weight of a metal carboxylate as a catalyst; and heating the mixture at a temperature not lower than the melting point of the polyester. Also provided is a process for obtaining a molded object from the polyester resin.
