abstract An object of the present invention is to provide ancartridge for automatic measurement used for an automaticnmeasuring instrument capable of being used for measuring anplurality of kinds of items to be analyzed requiringndifferent dilutions in a sample without substantiallynincreasing a measuring time even when these items arenmeasured concurrently in an instrument having onlynmechanisms simplified as much as possible, and a measuringnmethod using this cartridge. Components to be measurednwhich require different dilutions, contained in a sample cannbe simply measured by dispensing the sample containing thencomponents to be measured in the cartridges each comprisingnat least a diluting well for diluting a predetermined amountnof the sample to a desired dilution; and a reaction well innwhich the component to be measured contained in the samplenand a substance specifically reacting therewith are allowednto react; diluting the sample to a desired dilution on thencartridge; reacting the component to be measured in thendiluted sample with a substance specifically reactingntherewith; and measuring an amount of a reaction product.
