Infrared radiation-sensitive compounds have been found that arenrepresented by Structure DYE as follows:n nwherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, substituted ornunsubstituted cycloalkyl group, substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, ornsubstituted or unsubstituted carbocyclic aromatic group, R 1 and R 1 arenindependently substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic or carbocyclic aromaticngroups, and M + is a monovalent cation. These compounds have a λ max above 700nnm and are can be used in a number of photosensitive or heat-sensitive imagingnmaterials. |
