A disposable diaper 1 includes a liquid-pervious topsheetn2, a liquid-impervious backsheet 3, a liquid-absorbent core 4ninterposed between these top- and backsheets 2, 3, and annindicator 14 by which it is perceptible from outside thenbacksheet 3 whether urination has occurred or not. Thenindicator 14 comprises a liquid-pervious intermediate sheet 15nhydrophilically modified by coating of a hydrophobic fibrousnnonwoven fabric with surfactant and a water-soluble coloringnagent 16 depicting a given figure which is perceptible fromnoutside the backsheet 3. The intermediate sheet 15 isninterposed between the backsheet 3 and the core 4 and thencoloring agent 16 is applied on the surface of the intermediatensheet 15 opposed to the backsheet 3. |
