titleOfInvention Method and device for the qualitative and/or quantitative analysis of a protein and/or peptide pattern of a liquid sample that is derived from the human or animal body
abstract In a method for the qualitative and/or quantitative analysis of the protein and/or peptide pattern of a human or animal body fluid sample, the peptides and proteins are separated from the sample by capillary electrophoresis, directly ionized and transferred for analysis online via an interface to a coupled mass spectrometer. An independent claim is included for corresponding apparatus, comprising a capillary electrophoresis device, an ionization unit, a mass spectrometer coupled online via an interface and a computer unit with a program for controlling the apparatus, automatically evaluating and storing the measured values and comparing new measured values with the stored values.
