abstract |
This method permits minority genomes to be detected, morenspecifically, minority memory genomes of a nucleic acidnpopulation present in less than 50% of a viralnquasispecies and that contain at least one mutation inncomparison to the majority genome of the quasispecies andnconsists in: extraction of the nucleic acid from a samplensuspected to contain this viral quasispecies; b)namplification of at least one nucleic acid fragment fromnthis quasispecies; and c) detection and analysis of thenexistence of minority genomes using techniques based onnthe use of DNA microchips, Heteroduplex trace assay (HTA)nand molecular cloning. The method can be used in geneticndiagnostics of viral diseases. |
