The present invention relates to a planographicnprinting plate precursor comprising a substrate comprisingna hydrophilic surface having disposed thereon a heat-sensitivenlayer containing a thermoplastic particulatenpolymer having functional groups capable of interactingnwith the hydrophilic surface. Preferably, hydrophilicngraft polymer chains are present on the hydrophilic surfacenof the substrate. The present invention further relates tona planographic printing plate precursor comprising ansubstrate comprising a hydrophilic surface having disposednthereon a heat-sensitive layer comprising microcapsulesncomprising a compound having functional groups capable ofninteracting with the hydrophilic surface. In addition, thenpresent invention relates to methods of printing with thenplanographic printing plate precursors. |
