titleOfInvention Process for the preparation of (cyclo)aliphatic isocyanates
abstract Production of (cyclo)aliphatic diisocyanates and triisocyanates. A process for the production of (cyclo)aliphatic diisocyanates and triisocyanates of formula R-(NCO)n (1) comprises phosgenation of the corresponding diamine or triamine of formula R-(NH2)n(2) in the gas phase whereby the (cyclo)aliphatic amine vapor, and phosgene are separately heated at 200-600 degrees C whereby at least one of the reactant streams in the region of the mixing process is accelerated and both reactants are continuously fed to a reaction chamber without moving parts. R = upto 15C (cyclo)aliphatic; n = 2 or 3.
