The invention provides isolated nucleic acids thatnencode human sodium-hydrogen exchanger like protein 1 (NHELP1),nand fragments thereof, vectors for propagating and expressingnNHELP1 nucleic acids, host cells comprising the nucleic acids andnvectors of the present invention, proteins, protein fragments,nand protein fusions of the novel NHELP1 isoforms, and antibodiesnthereto. The invention further provides transgenic cells andnnon-human organisms comprising human NHELP1 nucleic acids, andntransgenic cells and non-human organisms with targeted disruptionnof the endogenous orthologue of the human NHELP1 gene. Theninvention further provides pharmaceutical formulations of thennucleic acids, proteins, and antibodies of the present invention,nand diagnostic, investigational, and therapeutic methods based onnthe NHELP1 nucleic acids, proteins, and antibodies of the presentninvention. |
