abstract A seal ring which has excellent sliding resistance at a high pressure, has satisfactory suitability for attachment, stably retains oil-sealing performance over long, and has a sliding surface suitable especially for the endless type. The seal ring is produced by molding a molding powder or granules thereof, wherein the powder comprises a modified polytetrafluoroethylene containing 0.01 to 1 wt.% perfluoro(vinyl ether) units represented by the formula (I): -CF2-CF(-O-X)- (wherein X is C1-6 perfluoroalkyl or C2-9 perfluoroalkoxyalkyl) and incapable of melt molding and has a heat of crystallization as measured with a differential scanning calorimeter of 18 to 25 J/g.
