abstract |
A fluid aqueous dentifrice gel (I), having a viscosity of less than 50 Pa.s at 20[deg]C, contains (by weight): (a) silicic acid polishing agent; (b) humectant combination of sorbitol at less than 50% and glycerol at less than 10%; (c) polyethylene glycol of average molecular weight 800-10000; (d) triclosan and/or hexetidine as antimicrobial agent; (e) further toothpaste components; and (f) water. A fluid aqueous dentifrice gel (I), having a viscosity of less than 50 Pa.s at 20[deg]C, contains (by weight): (a) 10-20% silicic acid polishing agent; (b) 40-60% of a humectant combination of sorbitol at less than 50% and glycerol at less than 10%; (c) 0.1-5% polyethylene glycol of average molecular weight 800-10000; (d) 0.1-1% triclosan and/or hexetidine as antimicrobial agent; (e) 1-10% further toothpaste components; and (f) 25-35% water. - ACTIVITY : Antibacterial. - MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given in the source material. |
