abstract A method of isolating and recovering an aromaticncarbonate, in which a solvent having a solubilitynparameter of 7 to 10 is added to a solution of thenaromatic carbonate in an aromatic hydroxy compound tonprecipitate the aromatic carbonate in the form of ancrystal and the aromatic carbonate is isolated andnrecovered. n According to the present invention, there isnprovided an advantageous method in which a high-puritynaromatic carbonate in the form of a solid can benisolated from a reaction mixture solution obtained bynreacting an aromatic hydroxy compound with carbonnmonoxide and molecular oxygen in the presence of ancatalyst. Further, a method of recovering a catalyst andna method of recycling the catalyst are provided.
