abstract |
Particulate, microencapsulated red phosphorus (P) has capsule walls of urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin and silica (SiO2). Independent claims are also included for: (1) microencapsulation of red P in aqueous suspension by producing UF resin and SiO2 from water-soluble precursors in a one-pot reaction by reducing the pH in the presence of red P dispersed in water; (2) molding compositions containing the microencapsulated red P; and (3) a molding made from the molding compositions. |
