titleOfInvention AGENTS AND DRUGS FOR EXTERNAL CUTANEOUS USE
abstract Topical dermatological agents comprise a fumaric acid diester derivative (I). Topical dermatological agents comprise a fumaric acid diester derivative of formula (I). [Image] R 11-4C alkylene; R 2, R 31-8C alkyl; n : 2-5. Independent claims are also included for epidermal barrier functioning potentiators, amphiregulin expression inhibitors, excessive epidermal proliferation inhibitors, heparin binding-epidermal growth factor (HB-EGF) expression inducing agents, skin aging prevention agents, and agents for preventing skin chapping caused by retinoic acid or its derivative comprising a compound (I). ACTIVITY : Dermatological. MECHANISM OF ACTION : EGF-Agonist. In assays bis (diethyleneglycol monoethyl ether) fumarate at 300 Micromol/L increased the amount of HB-EGF mRNA after 24 hours at 37[deg]C by 380% compared to 470% for dimethyl fumarate.
