abstract |
The present invention relates to the use of a Mig-6 protein or a nucleic acidncoding therefor for the manufacture of an agent for the modulation ofnepidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) activity. Further, the use of Mig-6nor nucleic acids coding therefor as a target for the modulation of EGFRnreceptor activity is disclosed. The invention also relates to a method fornidentifying novel substances capable of modulating EGFR activity. Thenmodulation of EGFR activity preferably comprises an inhibition of the EGFRnsignal and is thus suitable for applications, particularly diagnostic ornmedical applications, wherein an inhibition of EGFR activity is desired.nThus, the present invention relates to novel methods for diagnosing,ntreating or preventing EGFR overexpression associated disorders such asntumors. |
