titleOfInvention | Method of reducing harmful organisms in currents of water |
abstract | The invention relates to a method of reducing harmful organisms in currents of water. The aim of the invention is to improve the already known methods of treatment for reducing harmful organisms such as algae, mussels and slime-producing organisms by adding a solution that contains peroxy carboxylic acid. To this end, the currents of water, especially cooling water currents are treated in an economical manner by adding to the flowing water the treatment agent once every 5 to 100 hours over a period of 3 to 60 minutes in an amount that corresponds to at least 1 ppm peroxy carboxylic acid. |
