titleOfInvention Use of additive master batches for producing bulk plastics
abstract The invention relates to the use of additive master batches for producing bulk plastics. According to the invention, additive master batches are used which can be obtained by firstly adding a chemical expanding agent to at least one base polymer (a), melting the material, mixing before and/or after melting, and by cooling the mixture while forming a pourable porous supporting material with the provision that the melt is worked in an extruder or in a multi-shaft kneading extruder, and an inert gas is introduced at least occasionally into the melt consisting of the base polymer and chemical expanding agent. The plastic foam produced in such a manner is subsequently loaded with a liquid and/or melted mixture, whereby this mixture contains 0.01 to 50 wt. % - with regard to the base polymers - of one or more fatty acid amides (b) and 0.01 to 1000 ppm of one or more transition metal compounds (c) - the metal content of the transition metal compounds being measured with regard to the base polymers. Specific provisions apply with regard to the structure and quantity of the compounds (b).
