abstract | An aqueous solution for treating plants or animals comprising: i) a mixture of mineral-based nutrients; ii) a mixture of B vitamins; iii) acetyl salicylic acid or a salt thereof; and iv) at least one plant growth inducing hormone or hormone-like compound. Suitable hormones are cytokinins, auxins, gibberellins, α-naphthalenic acid. α-naphthalene acetic acid and mixtures thereof, especially cytokinin derived from ascophyllum nodosum. The mineral-based nutrients may be nitrates, phosphates, citrates and sulphates of alkali metals, ammonia, alkaline earth metals and magnesium. The B vitamins may be vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B3, vitamin B5, vitamin B12 and B complex. The solutions have neutral pH and may be applied to plants through the roots or leaves. They may be administered to animals, e.g. humans, in drink form, intravenously or by injection. |
